Growing up in Jamaica I remembered my grandma always changing out the decor around the house. Every two weeks seems a bit excessive but hey, the lady had her style.

Now that I'm a grown woman it makes a bit more sense to me why she did that - a bit, and I say a bit only because Jamaica is a tropical island so it's pretty much one type of weather/season year-round. At least here in the US, we get to say let's decorate with brighter colors for spring and summer and deeper colors for the warmer months. But again, the lady had her style.
Like home decor, scents too get seasonal. We tend to use more cozy, woodsy, scents like Vanilla, ginger, nag champa, etc during the colder months, why? because they are cozy. They make us feel warm and relaxed, some say it evokes the feeling of stillness. We make them, we use them, we love them but a new season has sprung...
