How to Setup a Productive and Relaxing Home Office
Where you work has a huge impact on how you work – on your ability to focus and your overall ability to be productive.
Organize & Declutter
When you organize your office, you minimize the number of distractions keeping you from your work. Therefore, organizing your office also increases your ability to focus. Keep minimal items on the desk while you are working.
Select decor that speaks to your personality. My all-time favorite way to decorate my desk space is through motivational prints and candles.
I love motivational prints and candles and I am OBSESSED with Naturalannie Essentials “Get shit done” Candle – Every weekend I write a list of things I want to get done and prioritize them. I absolutely love the feeling of completing tasks and scratching them off my list. This quote is perfect for me.
Dim lighting can make you feel sluggish and less productive. Allow natural lighting to come into your office or add a lamp to add more light.
Keep things that keep you healthy close
Jug of water- Keeping a jug of water in your home office area with you will help you remember to keep drinking throughout the day.
My yoga mat – I’m a huge yoga fan and often break from work for a ten-minute yoga session.
How much sound you can tolerate while working is highly individual. If you’re not able to minimize the sounds in your work environment, consider getting some noise-canceling headphones.
